3. Set everything up.

 Alien Speeder

Fun activities

Martian Music

You’ll need:

A Computer with a keyboard and a Pentium II

A copy of Music 2000

Multiple recordable audio CD

Multiple CD cases

Aliens LOVE electronic music.

You kids should be able to express their musical arts.

After they are done making futuristic music from mars you can turn it into mp3 music files and put it on the CD. After that design a cover for it using .PNG files of Martians and make a cool case and print it out. At the end of your party give the CDs to the parents in the Thank You bags.

Space Rover Exploration

You'll need:

A computer

A Lego Mindstorms RCX kit

Some spare lego pieces

A digital camera

3 AA Batteries

This one is for bigger kids and costs more.

Let the kids build a lego mars rover with wheels.

Then code the RCX brick and put a digital camera. Have the kids control it while taking pictures.

Edible Meteors

You'll need:

1 bag dark chocolate chips
1 bottle Shimmer Silver Spray for Cakes
1/3 cup honey

Instructions

1. Pour all of the chocolate chips into a microwaveable bowl.
2. Microwave on high for one minute.
3. The chips will have melted slightly. Stir them and put them back into the microwave for one more minute.
4. Remove them and stir until any remaining chunks are incorporated well.
5. Pour in the honey and stir some more.
6. Place a piece of wax paper on a cookie sheet.
7. Dump the chocolate/honey mixture on to it and spread it out until it's about ½ inch thick.
8. Shake out some sprinkles to cover the surface.

9. Let sit for at least four hours or overnight.
10. The mixture will solidify, but will also be pliable. When enough time has passed, knead the clay a bit, adding more sprinkles until it is sufficiently sparkling.
11. Break off small pieces of the clay and shape them into rocks.
12. Pour a little more sprinkles out on your wax paper and roll your rocks gently through them to give them a good shining coating.
13. Enjoy your edible meteors.

Conclusion

In the little bags to give to the kids some of the smaller lego sets. There is a good 3 pack called Alien Discovery that comes with three mini builds. The two best sets for the main birthday kid is the Aero Tube Hanger and the Excavation Searcher. You should include in the gift bags some cookie "Meteors" and the music CD made by the kids.

Here are some screensavers and a Printable Poster for customizing both your computer and you can give the poster to the kids when they leave.
